Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 29, 2026

Bloop ("the Game") is a single-player mobile game developed by Andrew Masters ("we", "us"). Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains what information the Game collects, how it is used, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Short version: We collect anonymous gameplay analytics to improve the Game. If you choose to enable Cloud Save, we also store your Google email and game progress in the cloud. We do not sell any data, and we do not collect advertising identifiers.

Gameplay Analytics

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage data, including:

Firebase generates a randomly assigned app-instance identifier so analytics events from the same install can be grouped together. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information, and it is reset if you reinstall the Game. The Game does not collect the Android Advertising ID (AAID) or any other advertising identifier.

Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase Crashlytics to automatically collect crash reports when errors occur. These reports include technical device information (device model, operating system version) and error details. They do not include personal information.

Cloud Save (Optional)

If you choose to enable Cloud Save by signing in with your Google account, we collect and store:

This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore and is associated with your Google account. Cloud Save is entirely optional -- the Game functions fully without it. Cloud Save data is synced automatically while you are signed in. You can sign out, delete your cloud save data, or disconnect your account at any time from the Settings menu (see "Your Choices" below).

Local Storage

Your game progress, settings, and purchases are also saved locally on your device. This local data is not transmitted to us or any third party unless you enable Cloud Save.

Information We Do Not Collect

In-App Purchases

The Game offers optional in-app purchases through Google Play. All payment processing is handled by Google. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information. Please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles payment data.

Third-Party Services

The Game uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Children's Privacy

The Game is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The anonymous analytics data collected by default contains no personal identifiers. Cloud Save, which collects a Google email address, requires the user to actively opt in by signing into their Google account.

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained in Firebase according to Google's standard retention policies (typically 14 months for event data). Crash reports are retained for 90 days. You can reset your anonymous app-instance identifier by reinstalling the Game.

Cloud Save data is retained in Firebase Firestore until you delete it. Signing out of Cloud Save in the app stops syncing but does not automatically delete previously stored data. You can delete your cloud save data at any time using the "Delete Cloud Save" option in Settings, or by contacting us at the email below.

Your Choices

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
